Annie Floyce Hollis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St Jude's, Crews Methodist Church, 364 Crews Road, Sulligent, AL 35586 or Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Annie (Floyce) Hollis passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at her home. Floyce was born December 29, 1935 in Crews Alabama to the late Elmer Cecil and Mary Elizabeth Garrison. She started her work life in Birmingham with South Central Bell and later moved to dispatcher for the Birmingham Police Department. After moving back to Sulligent, she studied hard and became an LPN working for Dr. Wright and Dr. Box for many years. Later she trained as an EMT and worked with the Rescue Squad, including helping deliver several local babies. Floyce completed her work life as Executive Director for the Sulligent Housing Authority. Floyce is survived by her children: Mary Susanne (Johnny) Law and Donna J. (Dana) Hollis; 3 grandchildren: Brad Law, Brendon (Anna) Law and Dylin Taylor; great grandchild Mary Mason Law; sister, Joyce White; brother, Jerry Garrison, Sr.; Brothers and Sisters in Law: Leon and Ann Hollis, Eugene and Dot Hollis, Carolyn Hollis, Shirley and Lionel Evans; close friends: Jala Bush, Euple Smith, Mary Clark and Sheila McCloud. Floyce was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Hollis and sister Dorothy Perry. Viewing will be Saturday 6-8 pm with service held Sunday at 2:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Sulligent. Interment will be immediately after the service at Crews Methodist Church.
