In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Gideons. Herman Fields, Jr. age 83 of Brilliant, AL passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at his residence. Born December 22, 1938 in Ft. Benning, GA he is the Son of the late Lucille Ward Fields, and the late Herman Edward Fields, Sr. and the Husband of Gwendolyn Miller Fields. They had been married 62 years. He had lived in Brilliant, AL most of his life and was partner and supervisor for Gateway Foodland Grocery Stores for 33 years. He had served in the National Guard and was a member of the Winfield Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by his Wife, Gwen Fields, A Son, Eddie Fields (Debbie), all of Brilliant, AL, 3 Grandchildren, Devin (Russ) Taylor, Dana (Glendon) Renfroe and Drew (Katie) Fields, and 7 Great Grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 3 Sisters, Dot Chastain, Elizabeth Perkins and Margret Pitts. Services held Friday, May 13, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Burial in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens. Bro. Kent Nelson officiating.
